Meet the Big Sky Chamber staff and learn more about who is working for better business in Big Sky.

Candace Carr Strauss, CEO

Candace is a brand-raiser in the EXPERIENCE Economy: she has spent twenty five years curating memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experiences for individuals, brands, and organizations by promoting purpose with passion, forging connections, building relationships that enable deeper engagement, providing stewardship and ultimately creating loyal fans, customers, and donors. She most recently conducted a funding study for Wonderful Copenhagen, the official Destination Marketing Organization for Denmark’s capital region. Other past experience includes work as Director of Development at Bozeman’s Museum of the Rockies from 2008-2014 and Director of Corporate Relations at the Houston Symphony.

RJ Klotz, Director of Membership Sales

RJ is a recent graduate of MSU Bozeman with a degree in Business Marketing. He is a founding board member of Skijoring America Association and the Gallatin Valley Skijoring Association, where his membership program development experience originated. RJ has spent six seasons working as a wildland firefighter striving to protect wilderness areas, national parks, forests, and other public and private land. From this experience, he has developed a deep knowledge of the outdoors as an adventurist.

Lori Wetzel, Compliance Manager

Lori graduated from MSU Billings with an accounting degree and passed the CPA exam that same year. She is a Montana native, spending most of her life in the Billings area. After a couple of years in Arizona, she and her husband have returned to their home in the mountains and look forward to enjoying the big blue skies, clean air, beautiful white snow and abundant wildlife.

Caitlin Lundin, Programming & Events Manager

Caitlin graduated in 2011 from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in communication. While in Austin, she worked on large scale event management for the University of Texas’s Parking and Transportation Services. In the winter of 2015, she moved to Big Sky to pursue a more hospitality focused career path and learn how to ski. She has embraced this community as her home and has enjoyed exploring it and learning all of the new things that come with mountains, snow, and blue ribbon trout fishing. She is excited to share her love of Big Sky with a more global community and welcome people to the Visitor Center with warm hospitality and a head full of information.
