Britt Ide, Interim CEO
Britt is an experienced corporate director and senior executive with over 25 years as an engineering, legal, business and community leader. Britt is a 5th generation Montanan and is passionate about supporting the Big Sky community. Britt holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, an M.S. in Environmental Engineering, a Juris Doctor and a Certificate in Mediation from Harvard. She has long involvement with state legislatures and was appointed by Governor Bullock to Montana’s Clean Power Plan Advisory Council. Her prior business experience includes leadership positions at Boise Cascade, Albertsons, Healthwise and Idaho Power. Britt also serves on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Britt loves to ski, mountain bike and read.
Margo Magnant, Membership Director
Born and raised in Bozeman, MT, Margo is thrilled to bring her love of the area to the Big Sky Chamber of Commerce. She is a 2008 graduate of Georgetown University where she studied Government and English and was a member of the university’s rowing team.
Margo will bring her prior sales & marketing and event planning experience to the Membership Director position. She has skied at Big Sky Resort her entire life and has lived full time in Big Sky for several years with her husband and black lab. In her free time she enjoys exploring Montana’s beautiful mountains and rivers and listening to bluegrass music.
Amelia Smith, Marketing Manager
Amelia is eager to bring a fresh, creative direction to her new role as the marketing manager for the Big Sky Chamber of Commerce and Visit Big Sky. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2010 and has over 6 years of experience as a digital marketing manager. She looks forward to making a positive contribution to the Big Sky community.
Originally from North Carolina, Amelia traded in the rolling green mountains of Asheville for the much more skiable peaks of Bozeman and Big Sky. She enjoys hiking beehive basin in the summer, skiing the headwaters in the winter and discovering as much of Montana’s western charm as possible.
Lori Wetzel, Compliance Manager
Lori graduated from MSU Billings with an accounting degree and passed the CPA exam that same year. She is a Montana native, spending most of her life in the Billings area. After a couple of years in Arizona, she and her husband have returned to their home in the mountains and look forward to enjoying the big blue skies, clean air, beautiful white snow and abundant wildlife.
Kristina DeVries, Visitor Services Liaison
Kristina was born in the Las Pinas, Philippines and came stateside in the early 80’s. Raised everywhere from Kentucky to Sacramento, she comes from a large diverse family and her missionary parents instilled in her through the years a passion to experience different cultures and travel. After attending Calvin College and Reformed Bible College in Michigan and 13 years of doing Urban Youth Ministry, in 2005 she took employment in Yellowstone National Park. She has a deep passion for the National Parks and Montana, and she enjoys everything these two offer. In the summer, she spends her time hiking, fishing, camping and winter she spends her time cross country skiing.
